Aoki Hifuku Co., Ltd. has started selling “OKAYAMA DENIM WASHABLE MASK” of fashionable denim material. This company is a jeans sewing factory dealing with “IBARA denim” in okayama that has been in business for 60 years. The company also produces very cool “DENIM KIMONO” to promote the city of Ibara in Okayama, one of Japan’s leading denim production areas. And in 2019 it was starting project with the Parisian “GALLERY LAFAYETTE”.
The denim fabric is firm, and yet very stylish. Masks have become a part of everyday fashion. Recommended for those who want to be particular!
How does it feel?
It is accented with a brass RIVET on a calm denim fabric. Several colors are available in the online shop. The denim fabric may seem stiff at first view, but it has two pieces of gauze sewn together inside, so it feels good against the skin, and the pleated design allows you to wear it without shifting your mouth.
The company began manufacturing denim masks in March, hoping to contribute to society in some small way, and was considering selling them only in Okayama Prefecture. However, the topic has spread and there have been inquiries from all over Japan, and now online sales have been launched.
