It is a public bathhouse in Sumida-ku, Tokyo where the Tokyo Sky Tree can be seen and the downtown atmosphere overflows! A variety of baths are available.

There is a welfare-type family bath for those in need of care here. There is an additional charge, but this is a private bath, and you can enjoy the Kuroyu hot spring water flowing in the scented cypress bath.

Nippori Saito Yu
日暮里 斉藤湯

Arakawa-ku, Tokyo

It is a long-established public bathhouse established in 1934. It is also recommended for beginners, and is conveniently located just a 3-minute walk from Nippori Station on the JR Yamanote Line. It is a stylish public bath that is particular about its hot water.

The Nishikigoi (Japanese carp) tiles in the bathrooms are beautiful, and the natural light pouring down from the windows overlooks the beautiful Japanese garden. Near Arimayu, you’ll find old establishments such as Tempura DOTENOISEYA and Sakuranabe NAKAE where you can enjoy downtown food.

It’s a five-minute walk from Koenji Station. It is a popular public bath with a milk bath and natural regenerating water. There is a sento gallery in the waiting room and fun events are held regularly. I’m told there are times when you have to wait your turn.

It is a 15-minute train ride from Shibuya. The indoor, outdoor and water baths are all natural hot springs. A stroll through the large shopping street “Musashi Koyama Shopping Street Palm” nearby is also recommended. It is a hot spring located in the middle of a big city in Tokyo Minato Ward. There is also a coin-operated laundry next door. There are two types of bathtubs, one hot and the other lukewarm. *The bathing in a group is not allowed.
